Sharing the Harvest is founded on four pillars of generosity working together to make a real difference for women and farmers in Honduras, Central America. Every 10 lb. bag of delicious Yakima apples you buy directly supports these people and helps create lasting solutions to hunger and food insecurity.

Five Steps For Your Church

  1. Register your church

    Fill out the Church Registration Form to let us know you’d like to be a partnering church for the season.

  2. Pre-sell apples

    On Sharing the Harvest Sundays in September, members pre-order Fuji, Gala, Granny Smith, Golden Delicious and more at $10–15 per 10 lb bag.

  3. Growers donate the fruit

    Generous Yakima Valley growers donate fresh-picked apples to Sharing the Harvest.

  4. Packing Day in Yakima

    On the last Saturday in October, churches gather at Wiley Heights to bag apples, press cider, share a BBQ lunch, and enjoy a day in the country before carrying orders home.

  5. Pick up & share

    The following Sunday, members collect their apples at their church — and the proceeds go to work for women in Honduras.
